Events & Prizes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase or payment of any kind is not required to enter or win. Scrywire events and their associated prize drawings (each, an "Event" and "Drawing") are operated by Average Build LLC ("Scrywire", "we", "us"). By RSVPing to, checking in for, or otherwise participating in an Event you agree to these Official Rules and to the Scrywire Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Sponsor

All Events and Drawings are sponsored and administered by Average Build LLC, operator of Scrywire, unless the specific Event listing clearly identifies a different sponsor or co-sponsor. Where a third party co-sponsors an Event, additional terms provided on the Event page apply and, in the event of a conflict with these Rules, the Event-specific terms control for that Event only.

2. Eligibility

Events are open to individuals who (a) hold a valid Scrywire account in good standing, (b) are at least the age of majority in their place of residence (18 in most jurisdictions), and (c) reside in a jurisdiction where the Event is not prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, contractors, and immediate family or household members of Average Build LLC are not eligible to win prizes. Accounts that are banned, suspended, or otherwise restricted at the time of the Drawing are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

3. How to enter

Unless a specific Event listing states otherwise, entry into an Event's Drawing is earned by (a) RSVPing to the Event through Scrywire while signed in, and (b) being verified as having played during the Event window (for example, through check-in and, where applicable, a hosted table). The Event listing on Scrywire will state the entry window, any check-in requirement, and any additional qualifying actions. Only signed-in participation qualifies, because entries are tied to your Scrywire account.

4. Random winner selection

Winners are selected at random from the pool of qualifying entries at the time of the Drawing, using a random selection process administered by Scrywire. The odds of winning depend on the total number of qualifying entries received for that Event. Scrywire's determination of qualifying entries and of winners is final and binding. Where applicable, Scrywire retains a record of the random-selection seed and inputs used for a Drawing for internal audit purposes.

5. Prizes

The prize for each Event is described on that Event's listing. Prizes have no cash value except as required by law, are non-transferable, and cannot be substituted except by Scrywire, which may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the announced prize becomes unavailable. Only one prize per person per Drawing unless the Event listing states otherwise. Any taxes, duties, customs charges, fees, or other expenses associated with the receipt, shipping, or use of a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

6. Winner notification

After a Drawing, Scrywire will notify the winner at the email address on file for their Scrywire account. Winners may also be contacted through in-app messaging. If a winner does not respond within fourteen (14) days of the first notification attempt, or if the notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random from the remaining qualifying entries.

7. Shipping information and prize fulfillment

To ship a physical prize, Scrywire will email the winner and request the information necessary to fulfill the prize, which may include the winner's full name, shipping address, telephone number (where required by the carrier), and, for international shipments, information required for customs declarations. By accepting a physical prize, the winner agrees to provide this information and consents to Scrywire (and the carrier or fulfillment partner selected by Scrywire) using it solely to ship the prize, comply with law, and communicate about the shipment.

Scrywire will only request shipping information after a winner has been selected and only through the winner-notification email thread sent from an @scrywire.com address, or via a signed-in Scrywire message. We will never ask for payment card, bank, tax-identification, government-ID, or account password information to release a prize. If you receive a message claiming to be from Scrywire that asks for any of those, do not respond and report it to Info@scrywire.com.

Unless the Event listing states otherwise, Scrywire will attempt to ship the prize within a reasonable time after receiving complete, accurate shipping information from the winner (typically within thirty (30) days). Delivery times depend on the carrier and destination. Scrywire is not responsible for prizes that are lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, or misdelivered after the carrier accepts the shipment, or for prizes returned to Scrywire because the winner supplied an incomplete or incorrect address, refused delivery, or failed to complete customs formalities. If a winner does not provide complete, accurate shipping information within thirty (30) days of the request, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.

Scrywire ships to jurisdictions where doing so is lawful and commercially reasonable. If the winner's address is in a jurisdiction Scrywire cannot ship to, Scrywire may, at its discretion, offer an equivalent digital prize or a prize of equal or greater value in lieu of shipping.

8. Privacy

Information collected in connection with an Event — including your Scrywire user ID, RSVP and check-in status, and (if you win) the contact and shipping information you provide — is used to operate the Event, run the Drawing, deliver the prize, and comply with law. Shipping information is shared with the carrier or fulfillment partner selected by Scrywire only to the extent necessary to deliver the prize, and is retained only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. 9. Publicity

Except where prohibited, by accepting a prize the winner consents to Scrywire's use of their first name or Scrywire username for reasonable publicity about the Event and Drawing (for example, a recap post or in-app announcement) without additional compensation. Scrywire will not publish a winner's email address, full legal name, shipping address, phone number, or precise location without separate consent.

10. Disqualification and integrity

Scrywire may disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry or check-in process, uses multiple or fraudulent accounts, submits false information, violates the Acceptable Use Policy, or otherwise acts in bad faith. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a participant, entries will be attributed to the holder of the Scrywire account associated with the participation.

11. Changes; cancellation

Scrywire may modify, suspend, reschedule, or cancel an Event or a Drawing at any time — for example, if a technical error affects the fairness of the Drawing, insufficient qualifying entries are received, or applicable law requires it. If an Event is canceled before a Drawing, no prize will be awarded for that Event unless Scrywire states otherwise.

12. Release and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, by participating in an Event and accepting any prize, the winner releases Average Build LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and partners from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from participation in the Event, from acceptance, possession, shipping, or use of the prize, or from any technical failure of the Scrywire service. All disclaimers and limitations in the Scrywire Terms of Service apply to Events and prizes.

13. Governing law

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Average Build LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Each Event and Drawing is void in any jurisdiction where prohibited.
