Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated June 29, 2026
Scrywire works because thousands of strangers are willing to point a webcam at their kitchen table and play a game together. That only works if everyone behaves. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to anyone using the Service — players, hosts, and spectators.
What's welcome
- Good-faith play with proxies, paper cards, or whatever you've got, as long as your pod agrees.
- Casual chat, banter, and competitive rivalry.
- Calling judges, asking rules questions, and looking things up mid-game.
- Streaming or recording your own tables with the consent of everyone on camera.
What's not
Harassment & hate
- Slurs, hate speech, or harassment targeting anyone based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Threats, stalking, doxxing, or sharing anyone else's personal information without consent.
- Sustained disruption of a pod, repeated unwanted invites, or evasion of a block.
Sexual or violent content
- Sexually explicit video, voice, or imagery on camera or in chat.
- Anything sexual involving minors. We report this to the relevant authorities and ban on sight.
- Gratuitous violence, gore, or content that glorifies real-world harm.
Cheating & manipulation
- Hidden cards, stacked decks, marked sleeves, or any sleight-of-hand designed to deceive opponents.
- Using bots, scripts, or automation to host fake tables or grief real ones.
- Impersonating other players, judges, content creators, or Scrywire staff.
Illegal activity
- Anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours, including the sale of stolen or counterfeit cards.
- Soliciting illegal goods or services on the platform.
Spam & abuse of the Service
- Unsolicited advertising, mass invites, or shilling unrelated products.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or hammering our APIs.
- Attempting to break security controls, access other accounts, or interfere with normal operation.
Reporting
If something on Scrywire crosses the line, report it from inside the table or email trust@scrywire.com with as much detail as you can — table link, usernames, timestamps, screenshots. We read every report.
Consequences
Depending on severity and history we may warn the account, remove content, kick the user from a table, temporarily suspend the account, or permanently terminate it. Repeat or egregious violations skip straight to a ban. We will cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires.
